Global Give Back Circle is seeking a dedicated and experienced Second Chance Education Analyst to join our team. The Second Chance Education Analyst will work closely with the Global Give Back Leadership team and partners to gather, interpret and use complex data to develop actionable steps to improve processes and optimize results for the second chance education programming.
The Second Chance Education Analyst will be responsible for education policy analysis, data collection, analysis and interpretation for decision making. The ideal candidate has a background in education policy analysis, capacity building in education programming, evaluating education programs, problem analysis insight formulation and outcome harvesting within our education ecosystem.
About the Project
Global Give Back Circle (GGBC) through the HER Lab model will deliver programming designed to increase the participation of marginalized young women in rural Kenya in dignified and fulfilling work. This initiative goes beyond just economic empowerment; it is a passionate effort to promote gender equality and ensure that young women, particularly those from marginalized backgrounds, have access to the skills and opportunities they need to succeed in the workforce or through entrepreneurship.
Under the Second Chance Education intervention, HER Lab Model will deliver programming designed to enable adolescent girls or young women who have fallen through the cracks to reconnect to formal education or achieve adult education in Samburu and Kajiado. This intervention will strengthen the capacity at partner organizations to design and deepen their work in education programming towards sustainable education outcomes.
Duration: 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Partners to develop Second Chance Education programming aligned with national policy provisions and education outcomes.
- Analyze the impact of education policies on the program and student learning outcomes.
- Strengthen the capacity of partners to implement Second Chance Education.
- Support partners to develop data collection protocols and procedures.
- Coordinate with partners to collect, analyze and interpret data from student records, teacher evaluations, attendance records and other sources to help GGBC take actionable steps to improve the strategy and meet goals.
- Create clear and concise reports with data visualization to communicate findings with key recommendations for the second Chance Education Strategy.
- Assess the effectiveness of the Second Chance Education Strategy through cost effective research methods.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public policy, statistics or closely related fields. A master’s Degree in education, public policy or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in the field of education programming and international development with focus on project implementation, monitoring and evaluation and strategic partnerships.
- Experience in capacity strengthening programs, project implementation, policy analysis and gender equality and empowerment programming.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, data interpretation and research methods.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with diverse teams and structures.
- Experience in both formal and informal education in pastoralist communities would be an advantage.
