ELIZABETH KENDELI
Local ChampionsMENTOR PROGRAM COORDINATOR
ST. MARTIN’S GIRLS SECONDARY SCHOOL
NAIROBI
Elizabeth Kendeli comes from Vihiga County, Kenya. Graduating from Technical University Kenya, with a diploma in Laboratory Sciences, she has been St. Martin’s Girls Secondary School’s Lab Technician for over 23 years as well as a Biology and Chemistry instructor. Teaching with patience and understanding, Elizabeth developed a passion to support the at-risk adolescent girls during their transition from teenager to adulthood. She focused on pursuing a certificate in guidance and counseling and became a mentor to some of the students receiving much joy seeing the girl-child educated and empowered. To her delight, in June 2021, Global Give Back Circle approached Elizabeth to join their Team of Local Champions as a Mentor Program Coordinator. In this capacity, she ensures that mentees write to and receive letters from their mentor on a regular basis. Guaranteeing privacy of these exchanges, Elizabeth maintains a log of each letter and provides monthly reports to the Team overseeing the Secondary School Mentorship Program. She also assists with the coordination of weekend workshops. In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys listening to motivational talks, reading inspirational books, and cultivating her kitchen garden.
